The 23rd Night Series is dedicated to a remembrance of Lai'l-tu-Qadr (The Night of Power) in which the Holy Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon Him) visited the seven heavens on one of the most sacred days of the month of Ramadhan. The series consists of four pieces, each coined by a line of a poem that represents how one may be aware of His divine knowledge (i.e. revelation). The poem is as follows:

He wrote, "thgiR!"*

She said, "Read."

We heard, "Listen?"

"I" was His word.

*Note: "thgir" is "right" backward, the direction of Arabic script; it is also a synonym for write - the point is that the explicit form of awareness associated with revelation is ambiguous to say the least, and thus apprehension of the divine is simply a matter of experience at one's fullmost potential.
