Javid is an Arabic name that means "eternal."

Javid has been painting murals since 2000.  A pioneer of the City of Toronto’s Graffiti Transformation program, Javid has been facilitating mural programs for youth since 2002, working with various non-profit agencies across the city, culminating in his present role as outreach worker and lead artist for the Christie-Ossington Neighborhood Centre L.O.F.T. program. From 2003 to 2006, Javid collaborated with international bodies to produce murals and run workshops in Tanzania, South Africa, Pakistan and India.  Coupled with his youth programming endeavors, Javid has also been exhibiting his canvas work in major urban cities. He has participated in group shows in Vancouver, Toronto, Mumbai, Johannesburg, Lahore, and most recently, in New York City in January 2007. 

Ja.1n.Us (pronounced Jah-in-us) is a collaborative mural facilitation program geared for urban youth skills development. The program has worked locally and internationally to bring awareness about key social issues, helping youth to establish voices in their communities. Check the Edutainment section for more info.
