Teddy Revolution

Aerosol and Latex on Brick. 23 x 33'. Southside wall in CONC Back Alley, facing park.

Artists: Javid, AJ, Leo

Dates: Aug 7-11.

Dedicated to the children in the nearby playground, this painting presents Teddy Bears in their concrete jungle, exploring, creating and enjoying the colors of their futuristic city scape. The piece was a freestyle where the artists were building chemistry as this was our first major production of the summer. The incumbent invasion of UFOs is intended to provide satirical narrative for those still interested in reading the subtle political voices existing in the medium of mural art.

Taking over this wall was vital to the look and feel of the CONC Back Alley and the park. Much love goes out to CORA for their support as well as the tenants and business owners of the wall, who were cooperative throughout the process.
