The Mystory Project seeks to create platforms for international urban youth to collaborate through spontaneous creative expressions in an effort to supplement and displace colonized, oppressed and marginalized histories. Inaugurated in Johannesburg, South Africa, January 2005, the Project has established itself as a vehicle for allowing non-artists to participate in relevant discourses existing in visual, musical and literary expressions – discourses that pertain to prevalent issues such as education and prevention strategies for HIV/AIDS, racism and pluralism, and preservation and integration of indigenous knowledge. |
